All I want to do is have two files (in DBP) open at the same time so I can compare the code of my new program with my old one, but every time I try to open a seperate file it says I have to close the current one. I don't understand this, why can't I open two seperate files?

Aye its a pain, you could always use the source files section of the editor, just be sure to remove it later.

<Edit>
Wait a sec, can you just open 2 dbpro windows ? and load a project in each ?

You could use blue ide or one of the other third party exes.

They all allow you to have more than one ide open at a time.
