Dark GDK / DarkGame SDK uses c++ right? So what about making games for platforms?

I know you can't make games for platforms with DBPro, but this is DarkGame SDK, and it says it uses c++, so does that mean that you could make xbox, ps2, or gamecube games with it?

It would be possible to create games for UNIX/LINUX though, since you could actually compile in an environment of UNIX/LINUX origin (so WINE could interpret the compiler before it links)

@CornStalks: I'm under the impression that Xbox+PS2 etc. do not use native C++ - plus the fact that console DEV kits cost in excess of $500,000

@LS,

That *might* be true, if WINE fully supports DX9.0c ... which it doesn't as far as I'm aware.

Just because the language is portable, doesn't mean that the libraries are.

I don't think that would be possible, but you could give it a try. Few years ago I heard somewhere on these forums that a person managed to make directx7 and dark basic games run using whinehq under linux. What might be easier is to re-write the dark game's sdk for linux, using opengl, which is available for linux. But I don't know how complex the used algorithms are. Maybe that's an idea for the DarkSDK developers. I really think there's a market for that.
