I really don't know what to do. I have a great storyline for a game based on these stories my buddy and I have been wrtiting for about a year now. If I really try hard enough and spend enough time on it I think there is a possibility of me finishing it. Is there anything you guys could suggest that would get my spirit back in coding? I feel that if I can get the ball rolling I'll be dedicated, but dont know where to start

My less-pimp name was Mattman.

Your coding skills will never amount to anything. The game will never be complete.

You need to find what you like about coding

well, it sounds to me like you just like to write...which is where all of the key elements of game development companies come together, you should talk to some other programmers, and see if they will work with you and your storyline and you can work on it together, so that way you dont have to do all of the programming yourself, which can seem scary at times.

Make a plan of action, with acheivable milestones. When you start reaching your milestones, you will feel more motivated.

Make your project smaller, and then make it.

What is your project about? What type of game will it be?

If you work on something, it will get completed.

Youve just got to realy belive the concept is worth making, that the style will be such that you and other will enjoy it...that way even when you have to do the boring bits (level editors...UGH ! never again !) you will still have the motivation to get through it and back to the cool stuff (GUNS !)
