Is this expected behaviour? I used to instance objects for my levels. It used to read in a template file and load parent objects for one of every type used in a map and then during the load would instance child nodes from the parents. This was fine, objects were textured, its great. But for a certain class of node I now need to clone instead of instance so they can have different textures, animations, etc. But when I clone an object it does not retain the texture of its parent.. this is most annoying because most, if not all, of my objects use multiple textures on different faces so i cant just fix it with a call to dbTextureObject().

So is this expected behaviour from dbCloneObject()? Will I have to move to dbLoadObject() for each individual node? :/

Yes, it's been doing that sort of thing since it was introduced - I believe a clone should also copy the textures as well.

If you can provide some simple code, then you can send it to Mike.
