Hey all,
I got paint shop pro 9, and now every single picture on my computer is a "Paint Shop Pro" file! Now i have no idea how to load anything into dbp, or anything. Anyone know how?

Video games…they take you places unreachable, unfeasible. Putting you in the book...putting you in the movie...putting you in a world, that before could only be imagined. expage.com/piratesmainpage.

Right click on an a picture, and select properties. Click the general tab, and it should show it opens with PSP. You can change that to what you want. There is also an option to see all file types and their links from within explorer (tools/ options somewhere). Out of interest you must have selected for PSP to be the program to open these files. When you agree it changes their properties.

And when you say you can't load it into DBP, then if you mean simply loading it in code, then it will still work. It's just that every file has a link to a program that opens it, and a description. You agreed for PSP to handle these files, so basically it calls them PSP files. Don't worry about it.

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

Correct. When you first install PSP9 it asks you which files to associate with dbpro. you can change them by goint into PSP9, look in file menu / preferences / file format associations. You can untick all the ones you dont want to load automatically into psp when you double click a file.

Anyway it would only have associated image files, it would not touch darkbasic .dba or .dbpro files so what are you worried about.

just because you have now associated image files with psp9, all that is used for is when you double click an image file. It doesn't mean you still can't load them into darkbasic!
