Ok i finally finished the model of link. I only started it tonite so i think its pretty good. The reason of late release is because i was trying new techniques and i find it best if you start from the head and work your way down. Usually i start from the body but it doesnt seem to work that well.

Here are some shots and download is available.

Oh and its only 644 polygons..

I dont think that will be such a good idea cause of two reasons:

one) This thread will be spammed with impatient users that will overshadow the rest.

two) As none of these people seem to care about the stickies, they will most likely post new threads asking for models anyway.

A better solution woul be just to get mods to lock this thread whenever it gets off track or overused.. or that each modeler willing to make models make standalone threads.. this would cause another problem however, that impatient people will multipost in all the threads.

I like this thread, and I think its going well.. but I do think that requests should only be pointed twards Frozen Flame here, and that other artists that want to do the same, make their own threads.

Now, I appologize for getting a bit off topic with this, and will therefor add: Good work, I'm glad someone is taking the time to make models.

Just a little update of my most Recent model finished.

Its a Jackson KE3 guitar and it is 229 polygons. Here is a picture.

I left detail out, such as strings, tuners, etc. so if used in game it wont cause any problems. a good texture should fix that anyways.

Download will be available soon from my site.

Frozen Flame's making the M4, but if you like Deadly Shadow I'd also like a Remington 870 Modular Combat Shotgun:

Hey frozen! Are you still offering to make those great models... I have some for you to make, but I want to keep them private so we can use them for a single project and share the loot (if any comes our way!)

Cool thanks guys!
I put a skin on the shotgun (from the pic I posted earlier)

The texture fits pretty well, but it looks wierd on top.

I also had a go at the M4, it turned out crappy, I'm not a very good skinner. You might also noticed I replaced the grip with a cylinder so it looked a little less square

The grip looks good, but I mucked up the texture around the middle real bad.

Also, can you guys do hands?

Thanks a lot you guys!

we forgot the cartradge.

if you want, we can add it seperate or onto the main model..
that will fix the texture problem. How do you want it?

About the hands, we can do it as a seperate model. do you want them in a particular shap? i figured if we make them normal that people can bend them themselves and have more use for them.

Just tell us what to do.
And your welcome

You guys still building models? It's a pretty old thread now...

If you are... I'm also looking for an M4 but slightly different...

One with a forward hand grip and night-vision scope...

I tried myself with a 30-day trial of 3ds max and I don't think my future's in 3D modelling

is this possible or just too difficult?

...maybe one day I'll finish a project

Hi. I added the magazine and remapped the texture and now it's looking much better.

Human hands would be good
Yeah, just plain sort of first person shooter hands, like cs or something. I guess it's the texture that really defines whos hands they are

Thanks again guys, these models look great!

Hi guys.
I tried to put this into DBPro and it just looks white.
I've made a seperate thread on this:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=56677&b=3
I've added bones\joints and animated it, it will be great when I get it working in-game, and even better when it has some hands holding it

Thanks

Here are the shotgun and M4 models. I modified them, textured them and animated them (crappily ).
Everybody feel free to use them, but keep in mind that they are textured with pics from google images, and I do not own the copyrights.
Also, if you do use these, credits are always nice (for Frozen, deadly shadow and me).
