Not too shabby. The stems are ok, but make them hug the sword more. The
roses are alright, but you could definately make it cooler by shaping each petal individually. The sword(or what I think looks more like a dagger is looking pretty good, Just give it some cool texturing and voila!

Ah yes the roses, those I had no idea how to do. Does anyone have any suggestions about making a rose? That was my first attempt at a flower of any sort and I ended up modelling one petal and copying it and scaling it :/
This is the image I was copying:

Hmm interesting those are a lot better than mine :p. Im assuming you shaped each petal or did you do the same as me but better?

btw how did you get that cool effect with the glass on the left vase and what did you make that in?

whats with the giant picture?

i used max 5.
i modeled a petal, then copied it a bunch each with a different seed value for noise. I also used noise for the diffuse color to give each petal a little more color variation.

the vase was an accident. a glass material applied to a lathed nurb shape. the smooth curves seemed to have given it the weird look.

try this tutorial, it helped me get some nice glass effects

whoa weird it used the wrong picture, changing it now
my modeller doesn't have a noise thing for copying so i would have to model each one differently
