I have a couple of questions about Soldier of firtune pk3 files so please answer because it's relly relly important:
1. are they the same as bsp pk3 files?
2. how can i make my own pk3 files?
3/ how can i convert soldier of fortune pk3 files to standard *.x files?

I wouldn't have a clue, but if you want converters, you're best bet is too get deep exploration, google it, maybe it'll have what you need

SoF uses the Q3 engine, and I can open the pk3 files in winrar the same as I did for Q3. So I would imagine they're in the same format.

doubt it. though i believe there is a plugin for zip files.

you don't need any plugin! just rename the extension of the file from pk3 to zip and unzip it! =]
