Using my new world creation tool, Map Edit, I have created a nice looking map, which I haave developed a program to walk around in it.
Map Edit is still in Beta stages and only has matrices and lighting done.

More information and a download of this program can be found on my site:

ok...

Do you have some different elements in mind.. there are too much LevelEditors in this forum..

I remember one time I started making a Level Maker... I'd get bored because the Ideas was always the same old same...

I'm giving you warning.. If you like to develope apps, and are sure you want a Map Editor, keep up the good hard work..

Look at your project...
Don't you think about making games from your map exploring system¿

Good luck...

My map editor will be able do almost anything which includes matrices,objects,lighting,hotspots,3d sounds, and more(I sound like a business man ).

I have threads about this somewhere and will be releasing a beta 2 soon.

Oh...
Sorry..
Now I understand..

You wanna save time of the people..
But you are going to make an all-in-one tool to export data ready to be loaded or a code generator?

Not matter.. So.. if you think this way and are working hard, I'll keep an eye here =]]]

It will be an all-in-one tool for making a world and then reloading in your game. It will be a powerful WYSIWYG tool. Right now, I have matrix and lighting tools done.

It's all done with bluegui and uses the mouse the edit the world.

Sounds like a visual map script editor...

Ok.. are thinkin in a simple funcion (something like "loadNDMap([parameters]..)" and an install file that sets it to highlight, puts help files in the DBPro dir..?

Asking because a richMap loader requests much parameters... Something like: "if the map file has a 'matrix object call', it must to specify the matrix position, some bumpMap bitmap call (yes.. it sounds professional)... etc etc.. think the same with primitives, loaded objects, lights, any FX you wanna use in some object, 3D sounds... etc.."

I really think that the loading can be maked with any 30 lines of code... but it would be nice if you make it an in-function routine..

Ok.. it sounds professional...
If you have some other screenShot, feel free to show it

ok.. I must to go now.. my game can't stop..
your project can't, too... it's all ok up to now.. good work..

Here is the 2nd beta version. Much more features and most of the bugs are fixed.

Enjoy
