Sorry if I'm posting to the wrong forum (new here), but I'm getting into DarkBASIC, et al, for a project which includes outdoor terrain. As far as I can tell, none of these tools have this built in??? Are there work-arounds or recommended alternatives which work well with DB? It needs to be 3D.

GeoScape 3D - Or go into MS Paint - Lighter = Hills, Darker = Valleys. Learn about greyscale images / heightmaps.

Bryce is a good 3d program for heightmaps and terrains, it even lets you see the terrain in realtime3d as you modify the heightmap.

Thanks, all.

I guess I'm not sure about the usability of the tools in conjunction with DarkBASIC. I have Bryce (clunky in a lot of ways, but it seems to be one of the few options I have) and I'm looking into Geo but do they output models I can incorporate into DarkBASIC? How hard would it be to use them, if they are usable?

Thanks!
