My dear ole dad was puking most of today, at least he finally had the opportunity to say, "No, I'm not going to fix anything in the house today, dear." Typically on holidays such as this we only get stuff we were planning to buy for one reason or another, so we got him a miniature air compressor--paint jobs coming up soon.

I woke up at 8am, realized it was Father's day, and had to dash to the store...

My card didn't arrive until today. Which looked a bit bad. Luckily he retired on Father's day, so he was pretty happy. My parents are coming down here on thursday, then off to Cyprus on sunday for a month to find a retirement house to live in sometime this year.

Then I got f**ked up on hayfever today, crashed my car into someone elses in the car park at work (only a scratch, but will cost a fair bit none the less - and it was my first *ever* accident), and I've just been told my dad has been rushed into hospital with a suspected hernia problem (hopefully only that). And they live in the middle of inbred country (lucky if they know what X-Ray is).

This week is turning into the mother of all f**kers. And the year wasn't exactly going great...

Cheers

Ps. Sorry, I'm just a bit emotional at the minute.

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

Don't worry dude, all that bad luck will probably lead you to win the lottery in a few months.

Yeah, should be ok. Although it looks like their trip to Cyprus to find a house is postponed. Day after retiring as well. Honestly, I just can't see the point of working till 60ish (Dad is 59) these days. After a decade in the business of working for others (programming for other people becomes somewhat tarnished after a while) you have a different attitude.

Just heard from my mum. Local *hospital* didn't have a doctor. Oh yes. So took to the real one, half an hour away. Apparently is a stressed hernia, and they will operate tonight. Grief. Sounds ok though, as they said should be ok to go to Cyprus on Sunday, just not drive down. F**king stressed out now....

Cheers
