ok, sorry i forgot about this thread...good thing you bumbed it...=)
ok, non-charecter objects are easier...
first off, find something that your abject most resembles in the
C:/the game creators/FPSCREATOR/files/entitybank
folder...then copy ALL the files required for that object(most are in separate folders, but some arent)
then paste that folder(or files)in
C:/the game creators/FPSCREATOR/files/entitybank/user
under the name of your file.
so lets call your model model.x
so in
C:/the game creators/FPSCREATOR/files/entitybank/user/your_model
ther should be 4 files(delete the DBO and BIN files from the ones you copied into the user folder)
1)model.x
2)model.bmp
3)model.fpe
4)model.tga(or dds)
if your using windows, then in this directory, there should be a diolouge box that says "address"...copy that whole long line directory...
now...open your model.fpe file in notepad. and change the lines
model
to the directory you copied from the address box
but make sure that the last 4 folders look like this:
entitybank/user/your_model/model.x
then repeat the same process for the texture only with the last 4 folders like this:
entitybank/user/your_model/model.tga (or dds)
now open up fps creator and click "add entity", your model should appear in the user section.
