Hi.

I have been playing around with a (very simnple) model editor lately, and I have been making some basic animated stuff for my models. There is a flaw in this though:

Say, I make one guy, animate him, save etc. Then I make another guy with slightly different details (extra body parts, or different sized limbs etc.) do I have to animate the whole model again? In my current model editor, any extra detail added after animating doesn't keep with the rest of the animation (stays static)

The model isn't boned or rigged. (I have no idea what this means, or how exactly to do this).

So what do I need to do? And what application(s) will I need? Any help is greatly appreciated

Sounds like anim8or, this means it uses bones and skinning in its editor, only used for the rendering animations, unfortunately, it doesn't export the animation in the 3D file, so no good for dark basic, if its not anim8or, then you're 3D prolly has the same problem
