I hate it and I want it to burn in bargin-bin hell.

But I heard somewhere that you can't re-sell HL2 becuase of some cd-key issue. I did a few fruitless searches on google and I also got that you can maybe GIVE away your Steam account, so tha makes your HL2 recyclable. Anyway, I don't really know, can I still sell it?

Depending on the version you purchased depends on if you can resell.

a) Yes, you can resell your DVD. Anyone who purchases it will be able to play the offline content.

b) No, you can't resell the serial key. This is held on the Steam Server, so you can download and access any content that your account is unlocked for.

Question is, will anyone actually buy Half-Life 2 just for the single player experience. The chances are the answer will be no.

You can always contact Valve/Steam about it. Quite likely you will get a very similar response.

Yeah, me too.
What's wrong with it?

But HL1 is better because the physics thing is a gimmick and it does wear thin.

..because you can get it for £15 budget range now.
Why purchase a second hand copy, when you can just have it brand new?

Yeah! Obviously selling games on Ebay will never work then. Nope. Not a chance.

Er...I can play HL2 online???
I thought it was only that counter-strike thing...

There's nothing wrong with it. It's a fun 2-3 day joyride. Once you beat it, the game's linear pace can't hold a 5 year old's attention, let alone me.

Hmmm I'm pretty sure they'll realize what I'm up to. This is Valve, I'm sure they dealt with alot of junk like this before.

Oh well, the only reason I wanted to sell whas so I could get Guild Wars...maybe I ca find someone to trade with???

Do what I did :

Buy from Amazon. Complete the game in a week, and send it back to them record delivery. When they claim they haven't received it, get the details from the post office, and tell them you know when it was delivered and at what time. They will then suddenly find it, and give you a refund.

What? I don't think Amazon are quite that stupid. Sooner or later, it'll be obvious I didn't even order from them. I dunno where you get this stuff.

HL2 never worked for me, and I could'nt return it as I'd already registered. Frankly I can't be bothered even trying to argue my case with them, instead I'll download the XBox ISO when it's released and feel damn righteous while doing it.

Ok now I'm very confused. I did NOT buy it from Amazon. I don't know who said or assumed I bought it from Amazon as I said no such thing and even stated above that my copy of HL2 came from EB!
