How do you texture only one side of a cube?

You need to make your own cube model, and then you can texture it however you like.

The default cube will take a texture and apply it to each side of the cube, giving you 6 copies of the texture.

Lame Brain,

If you do not have a modeler, or would rather go about it another way(though I highly suggest BatVink's method, since there are a handfull of free modeling programs out there), you can use plains to create the cube, by resizing and rotating them. Then, hook them all together as limbs. This way, you can texture each plain, effectively creating a multitextured cube.
