Hi there. I have started to create my first game, a simple, 3D, first-person adventure/strategy game that I hope one day will be published, but only as budget software. I am due to release the beta version in the next 4-6 weeks, maybe sooner, maybe not so soon. Anyone wishing to try out the beta version can email me at the address below and I will notify them when the beta is ready. Please send your name and who you are registered as at thegamecreators.com. Please take note that the beta version will have improvements done to it before I release the full game, so not everything will be unlocked. I will send the game as a .zip or .rar file via e-mail. I will also send a simple feedback form because I want your opinion as well. Anyone who participates and sends feedback will receive their name in the credits in the final version, with your permission. INTERESTED? E-MAIL [email protected] (A.S.A.P) and the first 5 will also receive a free copy of the finished game when released. Any other testers will receive a copy at half price if they want a copy (trust me, I would like to give them all away free, but with production/labour charges, it will have to be priced) but remember THIS IS BUDGET SOFTWARE, so don\\\\\\\'t expect too much, and as it\\\\\\\'s budget software, the full price will be relatively low, so half price will be even lower (obviously)! Price not decided yet, I will let you know when the game is ready for full release what the price will be. P.S. Message for thegamecreators.com staff: with your permission, I will acknowledge you as well in the credits.

I'll beta test anything! Just e-mail it to me, [email protected]
I let you know what I think, bugs, good points etc, I also have a game nearing completion so perhaps a two way thing going on would be good?

Thanks, everyone, the more the merrier! Keep 'em coming! It went through a few stages of decisions of what it was going to be like: the final stage was decided on just a few hours after the first:
1. text adventure on the spectrum
2. text adventure in darkBASIC
3. beta would be text adventure, full version would be first person view
4. every stage would be first person view!
(not bad for someone who has never programmed a game in his life!)

Awrite, but when you've got in beta, post a thread in 'Work In Progress' - lots more people read that forum, and it's actually where threads like these belong.

But for now, keep coding...

sorry everyone. for now, my game will not be made due to some technical failures (i.e. my computer has F*d up!). i will keep all of you who registered interest on file, and will notify when computer works again (p.s. I do all internet/email at my local library, where we are restricted to 1 hour at a time!) The game has now gone back to the original plan: a spectrum text adventure. Not that there is anything wrong with that, of course, because we all know that retro games are THE BEST, don't we? sorry again.
