Yahtzee 123 is now released!
As you can probably guess it's Yahtzee, for the computer. Made in DBP+The Newton DLL, this took me about 3 months alongside exams etc. The game is windows based and has 'real' dice rolling and a high scores tablePlease . Download it and let me know what you think - If you've never played Yahtzee before, I've included some help files and it's very easy to learn. I'm planning on releasing a german version soon too.

Ps. There's a bug I've found with when you switch sound off and try running the game, but I'm going to wait for some more feedback before releasing an updated version. Also, On a bright monitor, you can see the edge of the green floor in the distance...I might tilt the camera down a bit in the next update

You might want to make the edges of the dice sharper to make them more realistic. You can do this by setting the normalization on.

Very good game

Ok - a new version has been uploaded which fixes the sound off bug and tilts the camera down a bit more so you can't see the edge of the board. Same link as before

he he, i found it fun

1st try i got 130, 2nd time i got 281

its pretty cool for something so simple, it seems very polished, eg: music stops when its not active, clean moving text, nice menu.

improvements:

maybe when you highlight the various combinations it displays what these are like i had no idea howto get a yahtzee but by fluke i get 5 6`s or maybe it was just 5 of a kind,

the long straight shouldent be 1-5 as i got 2-6 and was like wtf?? i cant click long straight if anything it would make sence for the long straight to be 2-6 similar to royal flush in poker as their the higest cards.

i think the dice could have more defined edges to make them look better.

possibly more game modes, eg: against cpu, submit scores etc etc, something to make the game more worth playing again as rolling dice can get boring after a while.

[EDIT]

i also hate installers on small games i prefer extracting them to desktop for easy removal

Thanks for the comments,
The readme help file has quite some information about the different score combinations - it takes a short while to get to know them, but once you do it gets better because you will know what will get you the most points. A yahtzee is when all five dice have the same number btw
I've been trying to make the dice more defined for ages now lol but I just can't get it to work nicely...An online scoreboard would be cool but I have no idea how to set one up
Thanks again
Robin
