I thought I would let you all have a preview of our Puzzle Competition entry before it becomes available for downloading through TGC.

What is IdentiSlide?
IdentiSlide is a 3D sliding block puzzle game. Do you remember those jumbled up picture puzzles made of squares? You had to put the picture back together by sliding each square into the gap. Well this is a 3D version of that.

Features
A unique soundtrack over 9 minutes long entitled: 'Suttgart High Flyer (Ident)'.
Run full screen or in a resizable window
Visual effects in time with the music (in fact I recommend starting a game and just leaving it for a few minutes to watch the hypnotic effect)
4 difficulty settings
Load and Save your game to continue later
Customisable by the player (i.e. load your own photos onto the cube)
More details are available in the 'readme' file inside the ZIP.

ScreenShots (These are quite compressed images)

The main menu

Playing the game itself

The picture browser to use your own images on the sides of the cube

Side completed graphics (not showing too well in this pic)

Part of the end sequence if you solve the puzzle

You can download the full version from this here:
http://www.worldbydesign.com/identislide.zip (11.3Mb)

NOTE: The download from this location may only exist until the games are available from the TGC Website, so get it while you can! It will probably be available on the Binary Agents Website after the competition is over.

Please let us have your comments (good and bad). Thank you for playing.

Looks very nice, downloading now...

[EDIT] Exceptionally well put together...9.9 / 10 for presentation!

I never was any good at these puzzles, but I have to say that even the Easy mode was way too hard for me. Then again, I don't know how you could make it any easier

Some nice touches, like the gear wheels when you rotate the cube. And the self-pitying storyline, the last caption is excellent!

You should do well in this compo.

Thanks for the great comments, especially BatVink. Where did we lose the 0.1 score? Just kidding!

Glad you like it. We would still like more comments and ideas. Even though the deadline for the competition has passed it doesn't mean development should stop.
