I am making building and terrain models for my game using anim8or however I am struggling to get textured models into dark basic. When I export the 3ds file along with the jpeg files of the textures I can import it into anim8or or other moddeling programs and it is textured, but when I use it in DB (classic) or try and convert it to .x using DBconv it is not textured. How do I make the model appear textured in my game?

Use LithUnwrap to do your texturing and conversion from .3DS to .X... It works SO much better!

Thanks for the advice, I have downloaded LithUnwrap and got my model so it is textured when I preview it in LithUnwrap, however when I save the model as a .x or .3ds it is still untextured when I load it into my game. What am I doing wrong?

Anybody able to help here? Or suggest a way resolve my problem of being unable to use models with texture maps that I have made. Perhaps I have done it incorrectly in the first place. Sorry to keep hasseling you guys but it is pretty much the last main thing I have to do to complete my first game, and I am eager to get it sorted.

If it would help I could post an example of the models that are problematical.

Hmmm.. I think I may have been being a tad foolish here, I will blame it on late nights staying programming. Am I right in my assumption that DarkBASIC Classic only allows you to use bmp's as textures. This revelation came after for some reason I manually edited the .x file and change the texture file to bmp and also resaved the file. Sorry for bothering you guys over such a minor problem.
