okay, I want to make my scene dark and do some lighting effects, but my problem is that when I hide light 0 everything is dark like I want it but my spinning room is still lit at full. Am I missing something?

Are you using BSP or X object. BSP is not very sentative to ambient light at the mo.

hide light 0 `should make scene dark
set ambient light 10 `make shadow effect

Now the hide light 0 makes everthing dark like it should except my culled cube. I'm using my big cube kinda like a skybox and my objects and camera are inside.
