If you've ever played Wario Ware you'll know what to expect from this! If you haven't then imagine lots of small tiny mini games that take only seconds to play, all strung together in a frenetic manner. One minute you're trying to place a tetris block, the next kung fu fighting. The graphics are bright and bold (just like Nintendos classic) and a special mention goes to the great intro animations.

A great many people think they are thinking when they are really rearranging their prejudices.

I`ve made a new version by the way. http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=57475&b=5&p=0
This version includes some minor improvements over the compo edition and includes all the media and source code but shouldn`t be considered for voting.
P.S. Thanks for the nice screenshot and summary Rich.

Sorry but both versions start by maximizing to blank screen and about 10 seconds later get a microsoft crash error. Shame as I am intrigued by game description!

Cripe. I swear I removed the animations from one version. Oh well. If you want to play the game anyway the version in program anoucements definatly has the animations removed from one exe though you can`t vote on that version.
Of course it could be nothing to do with the animations and is caused by the images being non multiple of 2 (as in 50x120 instead of 128x128). I few graphics cards can`t load those though I asways thought they were only intel extreme things that couldn`t. I`ll have to look into this as it might alienate alot of people from playing my games. Thank you for your interest.

Lol. I would love to do a non puzzle based version. Though I`ll leave that for another time. I`ve got an over due fighting game to make first.

Excellent intro anims and in game graphics.

Music was ok but didn't play for some reason when starting a second game.

I wasn't keen on the controls. It took me a while just to figure out how to get off the menu screen lol

Gameplay was OK but not really my thing (nothing to do with this version, I find Warioware Touched very boring)

Cripe. That`s not an out of date card. It`s far better than the Geforce 2mx I tested it on anyway. There`s no doubt then. I didn`t remove the animations from the no video exe. Drat. If you still want to play you`d need th xvid codec. I tried to use divx but the quality was somewhat less than desirable. Sorry

Quote: "Music was ok but didn't play for some reason when starting a second game."

mmm. Didn`t have time to fix that bug unfortuatly. It was 12:00...I was tired.
Quote: "I wasn't keen on the controls. It took me a while just to figure out how to get off the menu screen lol"

mmm. I wasn`t too pleased with that either. It`s ok when you know what to do but as it`s not logical it`s difacult to find out unless told. I wanted to keep buttons to a minimum to mimic the originals simplicity. If only pcs had pads as default.

Thanks for the crit. I suppose wario ware isn`t everyone`s cup of tea. Though I would have thought the touched version would be great. I always thought the DS was made for wario ware!

I have Geforce Ti4600.

Anyway I downloaded and installed codec and both versions now work.

My first impression was:

I have never played anything like it in my life and it's all a bit too weird for an oldie like me. Younger members probably think it's great.

LOL! I guess it is a tad on the strange side. Thanks for playing though. Especialy as you had to install the xvid codec to play.

Note to everyone. The compo version doesn`t work without the xvid codec installed. Despite what the readme says.

very cool idea, and excellent presentation. unfortunately the games themelve are a bit lacking, and the controls are very awlward on some. still, it kept me playing long enough to work out the controls on all the minigames, which is why I am giving it my 3rd place vote.

Beta Test Successfull!! Woohoo, took me a good hour to finish that..

I prefere the second set of games but both sets are really good. Do you know how long it took me to figure out what to do with that darn foot and hand!
Due to using a laptop I couldnt move the mouse very quick so there were certain mini games I couldnt successfully complete.

I feel it was too hard to figure out what to do, more trial and error than puzzle solving, that being said a lot of work has gone into it and it kept me occupied trying to figure it all out and complete all 10 puzzles. (There are more than 10 puzzels but thats all you need to complete the game)

Third Vote from me!

mmm. Yes this seems to be the main problem. Here`s the improved readme file which lists the controls for each mini game and tells you what the mini game requires to complete it. http://usuarios.arsystel.com/rowsellclan/MiRWare_Puzzle_it_Up_Readme.rtf
Though now you`ve you completed it you probably won`t be needing it. I should have put this up ealier. Thank you for your vote!

Darn. Next time I`ll have the controls customizable or just ask the forumers which control system they prefer...Still I`m glad you liked it enough to give it third place. Thank you.

I do like the animation - very well done.
The controls dont seem to be always very responsive though, which makes things a bit tricky.

I must admit I couldn't get into this game, maybe it's the old school in me, but I found it too ADHD. Kind of worried that there's a mainstream game out there in this style, but I guess it's better they play that than GTA.

The controls were simple as just four keys, but sometimes they weren't too responsive. And as far as I could tell the games were very static, I only saw two types of Tetris puzzles, two sentences, etc.

The retro graphics were cool, and the intro is neat. Good luck!

I'm not a real programmer but I play one with DBPro!

I guess it is slitly hard. Especial the second lot of games. The first ones can be completed easily enough well at least I thought so. Ok there is too much trail and error in there though. The new readme file explains the controls for each game if there is a particular game you`re stuck on.
Quote: "Nice Gfx, 3rd place for sure.

Yay(Does a little jig).
Quote: "The controls dont seem to be always very responsive though, which makes things a bit tricky.

mmm. That`s strange. Maybe if I made the selection boxes "animated" it would give a better fealing of movement?
Quote: "maybe it's the old school in me, but I found it too ADHD"

That`s the third person to mention that. The games are based on old games so I thought it would be too retro for some! By the way. What does ADHD mean? Ano domini hard disc?
Quote: "Kind of worried that there's a mainstream game out there in this style, but I guess it's better they play that than GTA"

lol. I supose it`s kind of strange. Though this style is great fun. If only they`d make a 3d GC version. Simple 3d mined but at least that would make it diferent to the GBA version.

I couldn't get this game work unfortunately, kept throwing out a windows xp error wanting me to information microsoft of this, yeah, like that would help anyone!

I'm making this post really to be complete and offer a response for every entry. As you can understand I can't vote for a game I can't play, sorry Mir, I'd've liked to play this one since it sounds quite good.

I don't suffer from insanity - I enjoy every minute of it!

Darn. That would be the error caused by not having the xvidx codec. I forgot to rem out a line on the no video exe so it still tries to play a video. You can play the non compo version that does indeed not have the videos on the no video exe if you want to see the game.
Thanks for your interest.

Lol, this game is random! I like the intro movie and graphics (although is the misspelling of 'intellectual' on your door deliberate?). Some of the minigames are pretty hard to do, especially the guy bashing the tree, the ninja getting instantly punched in the face, and the rocketship instantly crashing into a rock. Also there's some kind of really quick countdown a little way into the second set of minigames which just results in another (ingame) compilation error :S.

Anyway, amusing and innovative to say the least.

Wow, you made the spaceship game easier in the new version?? I fear the original!

Its too bad the compo version didn't work at all for me! If I had been able to play it while i was voting, it would have definately earned a vote from me! I'm glad that you posted this new version though, or I would have missed out all together! You have the WarioWare magic down perfectly! Right down to the annoyance level as you try again and again! But I kept trying, and eventually won!

Great job, I would love to see more of it!

Pro's:
Nice cartoony graphics.

Con's:
No instructions of any kind.
No Music other than some intro stuff
No Sound effects.
Did I mention that there's not instructions?

Comment:
All I can say is "What the Hell?"
What was going on? It just kept skipping from screen to screen and counting down from 3... *shrug* No votes.

Seams to be the general response to this game. I thought the wario ware formula was more mainstream. It certainly seams fun to me! Anyway. Down to voting. I give first place to....myself

Where's these instructions?
There's a readme that says I use the WASD keys for all the games... But, when you get into the game, then what?

I mean, that's like saying you use the mouse in an RTS, but once you're in the game, what the hell do you use the mouse FOR?

I stand by my "wtf" attitude, cos I really don't have a clue what's happening!
