Hi all,

Some of you will have seen this already - but we released a new video today that shows off some of FPSC V1s new features including physics, multiplayer and new sound fx. You can view the video on the FPS Creator web site at http://www.fpscreator.com - there is a streamed version for broadband/cable people and a download for 56kers.

Also there is a short interview with Lee Bamber (FPSC developer) in Issue 31 of our newsletter, released today, where you'll get some more insights into whats new as we enter the final round of beta testing for in prep for V1 release.

Newsletter can be found here: http://www.thegamecreators.com/?gf=newsletter

Cheers,

Rich

Note: Same message from June 27 - TGC update thread=

That was awesome Lee and devs!!!!
Thanks!

Here's the story. I was on the phone to my friend talking about mxpx(www.mxpx.com). I got a bit bored, so I went and sat on my throne(pc chair ) and checked my email remembering about tonights awesome newsletter. I logged in. There in front of my eyes it said "1 unread message"!!! I thought maybe It was another anoying email from Bravenet(web hoasting and stuff), But it wasen't...it was the TGC Newsletter! I went down to the part about FPSC and played the video. I watched in extreme shock . I could sort-of hear my friend in the background still talking to me. I wasn't listining...but I can't just hang up. So...I threw in a couple "ohhs" and "yahs". I couldn't believe what I was watching...Improved enemy AI!!!!! I started yelling and overexagerating! I couldn't help it. Whitnessing the multiplayer was awesome! But... sadley the video came to an end! That was when I new I needed to go over and thank my Lee statue(dirty socks). My heart rate is above normal as I right this. My hands are shakey. YAYYYYYYYYY!!!

No seriosely. Thanks Lee for all of your efforts from gardening to deving FPSC. THANK YOU!

forget my spelling ppl I can hardely stop my hands from shaking ,

It's the allies that need to duck and cover

I am curious onto wether you guys are gonna pull a "dirty buisness tactic" and up the price of V1 but still offer the 'free' update to us... I've seen this many times and it is like EVIL... (okay, it is buissness but it is not moraly right)

And welcome back coldnews... although I only know of you by some of your posts...

Soul Man has been back. He just doesn't post here.

I do understand that Lee does write a very thick (and ranty (although some of the rants are funny), sorry Lee) so I try my best to grab the relevent aspects of them... I am not always right though. I personally would recommend that you read them yourself, but I know that there is some reluctance to do so... I think I'll get a new thread going for the Translations of Lee's Diarys... (currently they are in the Old Update thread). And if I did miss anything, go ahead and post it there, I won't mind, this is only to inform others about FPSC news without contacting Gardenitis.

Sorry, I have to go garden now...

(once again, no offense intended, it is just how I get though the day)

Oh yeah... Duke (why do I STILL call you that?) check out the FPSC webpage, the very first link.

I know that.

And theregetting close to the finish line. Probobly 4 or 5 more weeks, then beta testing is over, and V1 will be test 1 last time.

Then its all yours!

Awwww, did you all miss me so much? Let me check my propane tank to make sure I have enough propane for the next flame war.

I read that FPSC v1 is a boxed version.

It will be available only online (via internet), or I can buy it in local stores?

If yes, will FPSC v1 availabe in stores in Hungry? (I live in Hungary )

Or FPSC v1 availabe only for pepoples who bought the EA version?

Thanks..
