Nick, nah, then that would mean it would say "Thursday" instead of "Friday"... Confusing me even more!

well techinially it is isn't it?! Texas is 9 hours behind us - not 15 hours ahead? No place on this planet is more than 12 hours ahead or behind GMT... Thats the point in it!

Take a look at Australia and prepare to be mystified! Actually, because we're adding to the forum time (and not GMT), that means we really are 15 hours ahead (only 10 ahead of GMT, however), hence, the problem exists.

Yup. +12 to - 12 only works if you base it on GMT. The list should be -9 to +15 now.

Alternativelly, if it's a dedicated server, and you're a UK company, you set the server clock to GMT. It doesn't matter where it's physically located.

Radical idea, I know, but there you go.

I have loads of customers based in the UK, with servers here and in the US. However, because they trade globally, they set the clock to GMT +1, CET (Central European Time), which is an accepted standard for European companies, no matter what the actual time is in their time zone.

Yes true - I took an attachment back-up about 5 days before the server move, so the most recent stuff will be lost. Sorry, but too bad Just upload it again!

BTW regarding abuse of the 10MB - only registered logged-in forum members can ever download files from here, so it can't really be abused any more with 10MB than with 1MB. Any warez related stuff results in an instant account eraser anyway, no matter what file size is allowed.

I will sort out the timezone issues.. setting the clock to GMT makes sense to be honest.

Nice one on the relatively clean transition and the generous attachment size change - that's especially nice for people like me who'd rather boil our own eyes than maintain a website for ourselves .

Yup...already taken advantage of the file size increase. It's not the hosting, more the messing around to upload the file, copy the link, blah de blah. Being able to post and attach in one sweep makes it so much easier.

Let's hope it leads to more tech demos of cool stuff
