Hello y'all!

DataCat games is proud to announce its first full game in development. It is called "RYEISH GREEN RAMPAGE". It's a game where you are a student at a school called Ryeish Green. So one day a meteor from outer spae lands in the school field and all zombies come out of it. Then everyone is trapped by the zombies. YOU have to destroy all the zombies to save the day!

This thread is where we will update you on our progress.

um this belongs in game design theory, you should read some forum rules, no work in progress in the work in progress section unless you have decent screenshots (that doesn't mean borrow 3D models or menus, ring a bell GogetaX ) and if no screenies, and demo for download.

So mods instead of locking it, I'd say move it to Game design theory.

Oh and welcome to the forums

Dude, this is a huge flame bait. If you don't have anything, don't post. I have an idea... Maybe you should start your game, show some progress, and then come back. ...don't any newbs ever look at the stickies??

since 10% of level one is done, well that should be enough to show, Ronin is 0.5% of the first scene done, because the engine isn't even finsihed, and well people will let you off cos you're new, but well threads like this are massive flamebait, right gogetaX and well I know what flamebait is like, tip, try to aviod it, you get people on your back, and well its hard to shake em off, well I deserved mine, but well when you get home, just open up DB and take a screenshot of your ingame, no matter how bad it looks, thats where some critique can help you out, and we will have something to comment on.

And well if people start flaming tell em to eff off and I'll help you

Tip: Press "Print Screen" and then paste in paint to make screenshots.

I learned that ridiculously late lol

really! doh! oh well, when I was told I though some one at school was trying to get me to print what I had on screen and were lieing to trick me, well they weren't, heck people thought it was me being evil when telling them why are years 7's so ignorant at our school, i was one, and I''ve met a load, and made me think, was I that annoying? (some people would say I still am)

oooookkkkkkkkaaaayyyyyyy.....

I have finished level 1 like 5 mins ago. its good. not playable to show you though cant even take a screenie because I havent compiled any scource code to initialize it. I use MAPLET (by the blitz basic team) to make my levels. I heard you can integrate it into DarkBasic pretty easily. After I have made this post I will start modelling the characters and then maybe level 2!

a) only the most outlandlishly gigantic projects have complie times of 5-10 minutes
b) surely you can spare 5-10 minutes to avoid getting flamed here and shamed for the next month until you actually do turn out something decent?

SamphireX,

You need to show some progress, of any sort.
Give us screen shots, a full storyline, concept drawings with associated 3D models, some code, anything.

If you don't post any of the above, I'll have to lock the thread.

Take the advice that everyone here has given you, or you'll be flamed to no end

Jess.

In my opinion it's best if everyone ignores this thread (in the nicest possible way) until SamphireX has posted again. Everyone has told him what to include in his posts so lets just go do something else until some source code is compiled or something along those lines.

dude making all these videos and stuff is a waste of time you need a game to have a intro video first!!!!Why cant they just wait until they actually have done something geez.

Lol. That was a really weird intro. The first words that it said, they stayed up so long that at first I thought thats all it was. Very funny. And then it said all the credits and (excluding Lee Bamber, because he's not directly helping you) theres like 3 or 4 of you. And nothing about modelers or anything. Is this game without visuals or something? Correct me if I'm wrong lol.
