note: I still need to fix them up in 3ds max (back) so add like 5-10vertices to it.

uhh, why are you measuring it in verts? shouldent it be faces.

and i think you should stick with your lower poly one the rest just look mesh smoothed. it looks good tho

looks good, leave the higher poly models for FMVs, they're kill your FPS as soon as you add more models

ok..here are the models in .x (for game) and 3ds (edit) Not animated, just a stupid standard pose. If you want to edit it, go right ahead. No credit needed. If anyone wants the MAX file, you would need to credit me, and if you want to texture it, tell me on this forum. I suck at textures..it takes forever to do it, and I am not bragging about this model. I dont think anyone will use it...

Edit I also fixed the back. The teeth are separate so you can edit a talking motion...If you want a different file, I can convert to hundreds of things.

its a good model, if I couldn't model I'd use it myself, of course I'd either get some one to IK it, or use 3DCanvas that came free with my DBC to IK it and try to texture it, I can see people wanting to use it

Ok..another version, just add 100 vertices or so..maybe less
It is good to. same as last...3ds and x...plus screenshots in it
edit: really? Thanks! I dont like making models that take forever..
And you have my permission to do that. Still..if anyone needs any other formats, I am willing to make them... I can convert to almost any 3d format

Looks like a robotic twist to the DarkMatter model.
The in-game renders look a little choppy (at the arms), but what FPS were you getting?

yes, it is because it is not textured. I tried texturing it, and it is better, and the screenshots show it at the bottom.
edit: also can you imagine that thing attacking you? lol...that would suck. Its claws are very sharp..and as I said.oh my that would suck..

Note to all: I will try to animate this thing, but I will probably fail. I am a modeller not a 1337 character animater/texturer:p

because of the no lock, I have changed The model in bits. I call this pose "wanna be dinn- I mean friends"
Still lock it, but this is just what it will look like as a sample (not done at all!) Expect many versions (four legged, smoothed, no horned, big head, small head, less aggressive, ect...)

FMV type model
edit: Also expect more than this from the alien. I will make an entire set! Planet (textured), City example (textured), This guy, the stuff mentioned above, ship styles (note textured, unless I change my mine), and such. I will probably make that stuff free, and make the full set better, and then sell it.

When you make a high poly version, try to add detail to it rather than just mesh smoothing it.

And AZP - what?

AZP What the hell is ur problem? Its an exelent model in my view. No wonder AZP posts this stuff. It reflects in his most recent thread "Who is the best moddler" Which is realy saying I am the best and i have to have a go at every1 and put them down. Its no bloody competition. U post ur work here for one reason... constructive critisism. hell i wouldn't be at the level i am without it. I dont post work to show off. Usualy when u make a model u dont sometimes see something another person will. Just like Jr Noober diddn't notice about his characters legs. Its helpfull. Ur probably the only person on this forum who shows off instead of seeking critism. Its quite franky big Headed. No1 here is the best. We are all begginers here. Otherwise we would be working for Dreamworks or ILM ect. We have Programming competitions. But who ever wins that competition isn't the best programmer. They just happen to make a realy enjoyable game... the next day they could program a game thats realy not fun to play. Just like if i create a model and its super good (One day i hope ) But the next day i could model sumthing rubbish.... but there are people here to help. to say.. u know if u put that there and deleted that bit... it will look better!

Well there u go... i've had my little rant for the day.

Good day to u all.

obviously, but I wouldn't worship my friends on a forum (although Luke asked me to bow down to him in the music shop and pretend to worship him, wonder how many looked at us?)

and I only went in to buy a coal chamber CD and then Luke and a few people came in lol, funny having people stare at you though lol, like doing rivedancing in the supermarket or trolly riding, always get the look, next I'm planning to walk into boots (drug store) with a balacalava on and trench coat, and when the security guard starts following me panick, grab spot cream and pay for it (or ask the security guard where I can get the spot cream)
