Hello members,

I would like to know if FPS can make a simple RPG or adventure game with a status, items, weapons, and hp point system for characters and monsters???

Any info from you experts would be nice!!!

Thanks,

Although you can do a great deal with fpi scripting which is relatively easy command based scripting - creating an RPG in the accepted sense of the term would be very difficult I should think.

Depends on you personal definition of RPG I guess. It could cover quite a range of differing game styles.

You could make a first person RPG, and a first person adventure game.

You seriously don't get it.

RPG = Player Generation.

FPSC will only have set values for the player, it is very hard to do anything like a RPG without math, and that would be very hard for lee to impliment. You will end up with a FPS with extra story. You can't talk, you can't do any complex menu (without it being stupid looking) and it all just gets very complicated.

Sorry, but no RPG or Adventure games! Strictly FPS games. Hence the name FPS Creator.

If you wanna make an RPG style game. You may wanna take a look at "The Game Maker". Also there is a program for windows which makes it a little easier to make RPG's. If you have DarkBASIC, or DarkBASIC Pro, you can make RPG games. Although I would prefer to make an RPG game using C language. You have any idea how much math is involved? Wowzers. Its a jungle out there. If you do have DarkBASIC, then check out the darkbasic forums there is a sttep by step on making RPG's.
GOD BLESS

It think it might be possible to make a semi-RPG in first person perspective with FPSC, something alike Heretic/Hexen, with a lot of scripting of course.

One thing to look forward to:
The day FPSC v 1 is released
