Sorry if this sort of thing has already been answered elsewhere, but I can't seem to find anything on this:

In the process of making the "big jump" from 2D to 3D - I'm using MilkSpace to make my model, using just the basic primatives at the moment. I've added plain colour as the materials with basic lighting - no texture maps or anything. Anyway, while it looks fine in Milkspace, as soon as I display it in DB, I run into what appear to be lighting problems - anything with any element of grey in it comes out a lot brighter (ie: almost white) when viewed in DB - although the parts that are plain red seem to come out okay.

I've tried mucking about with the object and ambient light functions in DB, but with no luck. Anybody had and solved this problem, or got any ideas? Thanks.

are you using dbp or dbc. If dbp you can set object specular to a rgb value of black and that will be the object much darker and you can experiment from there. There might be other better ways but thats what I do. Hope I helped in some way you check out other light commands and experiment from there.
