I decided to make a scene deticated to all those people who work to hard. The scene is suppose to say if you feel over worked in your life you sit and just "Have a Drink", As shown by the wine glass next to the office chair and pencils. Hope you like it. Its the first time Ive tried cel shading so it kinda of shaby. So your comments are welcome.

As always patient if it doesnt work cause it sometimes doesnt for no reason.

Also I made a book light that was just lying around in my room so I decided to model it.

What you think of that one I like this one wondering if you agree.
Again patient as 5gigs is pain sometimes.

Off Topic: I was bored so I was looking at posts from like page 10(didnt read them all ) but I saw that many people have improved much from a short amount of time. Discostu, DBAlex, BigAdd, I havent seen Frozen Flames old work but hes just good so ill name him, Same with Stalker, Seppuku Geijutsu improved alot too, Neodelito whos been making models good for games, Aaron the Modeller who just started an is already shaping up nicely. Sorry if I didnt mention someone. good job and keep up the good work.
As the english would say "Cheers" to everyone.

It was a nice idea of you dude, i'm sure it looks fine anyway

cool I see em now, they look good, I like the cel shade, it suits how you've done ur models I like the pedal too, you doing a drum kit? If you do I think a double pedal would be best for hard core heavy sh** then again I am listening to InFlames as I type so I would say that

. LOL its suppose to be a book light but your idea might be a good plan I think I could make a drum kit. btw never heard of inFlames but I listen to some heavy stuff with alot of double bass thats the way it was meant to be.

EDIT: so sorry! forgot to say thanks for the comments.

Thanks. I saw the models you were making in Truespace with the Calgari watermark lol. Then I saw one post you said you were useless in C4D. Thats Cetainly not true now.

Modeling is so fun Ive just been modeling everything I find in my room. I hope to get further with it someday. If you guys dont mind I have yet another model to show(sorry its just so fun )

This is a lamp thats in my room hope you like it. 3 words describes what I think of this object: I Love Shaders

EDIT: This Joan of Arc tutorial is hard for me I always do good then ruin the model Ive had to redo it atleast twice already. Guess Im no good in character modeling

well I think your better from your observed models, like in art you're better drawing by looking at an object or picture/photo than from the top of your head

Yeah I just came back, it was fun, haven't been round their house since they moved in there, its nice, Uncle Dean has his own lil play room with a bar, snooker/pool table and dart board (and a few shelves of snooker trophies ) so we basicly played darts mostly, making holes in the wall, and well Dean kicked our buts at Pool, evil git

Sounds like fun. My aunt is weird shes rich but spends her money collecting bugs, rare and common . Her house is nice though just filled with the wildest display of creepy crawlys youll ever see.

Hmm pool eh. I can play pool of decent skill(if you count almost beating my dad) I can also do trick shot magic quite fun impressing people with it . pssh Darts I suck so bad in Id probaly hit you if you were sitting behind me.lol. Wow getting off topic a bit . I want to put my lamp on CGtalk but im afraid of rejection . I put my armor on their i got some positive comments but they were more along the lines of: "nice its a start but the peck and ab ratio is off an you havent yet grasp the concept of proportions but nice start" but I take that as a compliment.

good to take as compliment

Well I have a rich aunt and uncle, the uncle is a blood relative, him and his wife are a-holes, they're rich, and ignore us, and think they are better than everyone else, Keiren was the spoilt brat of the family, and at age 50, he still is, he hasn't paid back his loan he got from his mum to start off with when even everyone else has (even uncle John, the Schizophreniac who lives off of the government) His wife evangeline, is sexist, in a strange way, she hates woman, and always treated one son better than the other, and if my nan would ever baby sit them and the kids would come home happy, she would punish em, no wonder why they're dull suits with a degree now, I wouldda hated it if she was my mum...
Sara and Dean aren't rich, just luck to find a house with a game room and bar

ya rich relatives are good sometimes but sometimes not like your case I guess. My aunt is nice just odd. I happend to be pretty scared when I go to their house. I wish I could be their I imagine a pub(English style) thats just a good place relax(in the game room). My house is boring. one story and no room really deticated to fun and games(room with computer count ). I guess the only lively thing about it is in my room is a big collage of magazine pictures of many assorted things that interest me. Started it when I was like 12 but I didnt plan ahead and now if I were to remove them there would be alot of tac holes.

well we don't have a game room here, hence me being on the computer so much, the village is nice and quiet and picture-esque, but not exactly fun for teenagers, and well parent too busy to take me anywhere! so I may as well get a drivers liscence next year, I don't get it though, they don't want me to get a moped, but my mum used to ride a motorbike in her young age, my Aunt Jane just got herself a sports bike and liscence and 2 uncles have been riding em for ages, corr I am expected not to do something and look at the example set

Hey all heres an update to my lamp scene I think I might be down but I guess someone could suggest what else to put, cause it all about getting better .

The picture is called trapped. It for anyone trapped in their dark lair of a room. almost everything is made out of coarse metal to show the cold emptyness of the room. Tell me what you think of it the render times were getting long for me(2 mins is long for me and this one took about 2 mins 30 secs) I also didnt pay attention to the poly count. As a result its about 100k polies and thats a personal record. Hope you like and enjoy.

dont rely on physical lighting. turn on anti-aliasing. and make a white background. Im not sure about the white background but I dont know what else to put there.

valid point, I think the white background would make it more visible soooo....it'll draw emphasis to some detail

also black and white are great colours to use together, always looks good together

actually its worse, when they say white I think they mean make the room look more elegant with creamy white wallpaper and creamy white carpet, otherwise it makes the CGtalkers feel like your room belongs to an emo/goth/self hater teenager, I guess thats what you wanted, but a dark room hides the object, kinda like me looking for black socks with the light off, so I think more elegance will make it look nicer, if not....well you can keep trying until you got it, like interior designers do

alright here we go. another update/change.

Creamy white textured background. turned down the omni light in the lamps bulbs. turned up GI. Turned down sampleing from the last pic but has more than the first. Turned down the bump maps alittle(turning up GI made them stand out really bad.)

And heres a black and white noise photo version of the same render. Just experimenting.

Thanks. yeah the back area I was thinking of putting barrels for some reason Im not sure why . The light is straight above like a ceiling light but I dont think its centered should I center it? Should I stick with the photograph monochrome pic or the regular one?

Thanks for the mention by the way, as for the room i think that the.... well curtain thingy is not doesnt fit in with the scene you should add a window instead with the colours to match then scene other than that its really good.

Well today I posted this in cgtalk gallery my first pic to do so.(i posted in WIP but anybody can post whatever there instead I posted in their gallery where a mod has to check if the quality of the pic is good enough to be in there and there is abunch of rules and such but I guess mine made it and im very proud.) You all might not think much of this but this really cool for me. Once again thank you all for the crits and helpful insight to this scene you all have been a real good help.
