And so is hacking websites, but I doubt anyone would really care in this case. I'm sure you all remember Judy Patch's website? Well, have you visited it recently? Quite amusing!

She has been doing this for a while...

First she posted "Come back when you know what you are talking about"

then it was some strange "you got h4x3d"

and some more things probally....

She is just trying to get people to give her money (besides, she is missing her donation page, I doubt a hacker would bother to deleate files...)

Just "funny as", assuming MAD's a Brit.

You've never heard anyone talk like that?

Hahaha. I was joking. Yeah I've heard that said a lot. I just thought I would amuse myself by pretending I didn't know what he was on about.

I've never heard that term before either. It's an unfinished sentence.

i believe it actually started as "funny ass" but then over time the last s got softened, screwing up its meaning. a lot of common british sayings have had the same fate, to the point of not making sense any more.

I don't. I believe its just like saying "thats funny as crap", without the ending. Plus, saying "thats funny ass" doesn't make much sense either.

Well you cant comment on how the brits speak (well.... apart from all this innit nonsense.... yaaa mmeeean?). Its called English u know. I wonder where that language came from ..... Although on most software ur language is English(United States) There are two versions now are there? It makes my blood boil when i see that. If anything its English(United kingdom) Or perhaps its just New english. It was funny as on Xbox live the other day someone swore blind they spoke American

There are many variations on english. Well, the words in them have slightly different spellings.

Thank goodness Canada purposely defied Americanism back in the day and kept to their English "roots" with their language. American English just reeks of laziness.

I think 'amercanisms' are stupid, even some americansisms have taken over the English language, 'jail' is an example, I only ever see 'Gaol' in history books, it annoys me, if you speak UK english to people who speak US english, you have to change what you are saying, a*se is ass, Gaol is Jail, e. it is damn lazy!!!!!! innit, mum is mom/ma, dad is pa, nooooooo!!!!!!! Just change it by 30% and call it american, and shut us up! (oops I said innit, arggghh I gotta punch myself!!!!!!)

villages in the countryside is great, but some of the neightbours aren't arrogant, stuck up and even we have a couple of chavs!! you'll agree with me when I say they're taking over the world

Dare I step into this snake pit? I truly believe the idiom is, "That's funny as..." and is meant to save delicate ears in "mixed company". The ellipses indicating the removal whatever obscenity one would normally compare funny things to. As for writing/speaking The King's English, or American English... well, I'm something of an Anglophile, but I'm from New England, so whomever said New English a few posts ago would only be addressing one of many English dialects. You wanna get really nit-picky (there are some lazy colloquialisms for you), you need to go back and write like The Bard or Chaucer. What do you think of Cockney rhyming?

Neofish is right.

And besides, I think that as business grows and people travel more, the two dialects are probably going to blend into one someday.

It's not our fault that 'arse' sounds incredibly stupid

Quote: "mum is mom/ma"

Mother > Mom, not Mum, it's mum that's been more affected by slang. And ma/pa aren't American.

What's interesting is how the Chinese say ma or mama for mother. They've been using it for thousands of years and it wasn't an influence from western culture. Interesting.

That's about right, no offence. I've just been on holiday to Lincolnshire, and I HATED those bendy roads. And I wasn't even driving.
