This is a dark knight I'm making for an RPG and I'm looking for Comments + Critisism before I finish and move on to UV/Texture/Animation. He still needs a weapon. I was thinking of having these units as standard fodder for early in the game and having different sorts e.g sword + shieldsman, two handed swordsman and longbowman. It doesn't matter if it's good or bad, C&C is very much apriciated.

Looks pretty good. Might be just me but the feet seem a little too square even for a knight. A slight angle would fix that i think. Other than that i like it.

Am I an Idiot...or is everyone else just really smart?

I think it may need a few more polys if you are going to animated it(especially around the shoulders and legs). I agree with master chief with the feet. I think the head look quite good though.
Keep up the good work

Thanks for the comments. I've just rounded off the toes and adjusted the legs so they're in better proportion with the body. I did a quick test rig and found you were right Jozers, too few polys round the shoulders and legs, thanks, saved me quite a bit of time there as I would have had to do it later . Any more C&C appriciated.

I haven't done much work on it, but now it's UV mapped and I've just started the texture work. I'm afraid I've only done the base metal texture and started on the high/lowlights.

nice work!! You might add some shadowing to give the illusion of separate pieces at the shoulders, elbows, and anywhere else a real suit of armor would have separation. The animation may take care of this, but in the still the pieces blend together too much.

With math all things are possible

Just replying to show I'm still working on this (But I've been away for a few days so it's only a small update). Anyway Cyril Grey I was already ahead of you and I've added shadows to most armour pieces, however I haven't finished yet. The big problem I see will be texturing the chainmail areas I'm going to have (abs, upper arms, upper legs, ankles and neck) realistically.

Anyway, here's the latest picture.

Approaching completion. Added chainmail, and more hign/low lights. Hands need retexturing and so do the base feet (I haven't decided whether to have More overlapping armour plates, chainmail or leather boots.) Apart from that I'd say he's nearly there!
