I won FPSC for a game I made using DBP, for a programming competition.

Ive downloaded it and had a play around, Its good, But is there a way not show the yellow text from the bottom of the screen?

Also how can I edit world properties like ambient light?

The yellow text at the bottom of the screen are the stats for your test level and as such are only shown in your test level. Compiling the game to an .exe will remove it.

V1 urinates all over the EA version so you should use the EA for practice only, you'd probably want to start over with V1 when it's released. I'm not sure that you can affect the overal lighting, perhaps make a test game and look for the setup files - perhaps it's an option inside those.

Hey, Thanks Van... V1 does sound good.

I dont know whether Ill use FPSC to make games, I prefer to code them... But maybe I can help the FPSC community in some way.

Also my freind is interested in it... So he'll probably make a game in it... Currently he uses The Games Factory, and he thinks people at university will be impressed with games hes made in that...

Meh.

Anyway thanks about the text at bottom, I thought It was because it was the EA, and only really for testing.

Also when V1 is realeased will I still receive that too? Because I gave TGC a different email than the one I used to sign up for this forum... that was because I dont really use the old one... I think maybe I can change my email in my profile though, Then FPS Creator will appear in my orders? (Even though I didnt order it, I would expect it to be there)

*phew* large post... (well for me anyway)

Can't you adjust the amount of ambient lighting in the build game screen?

Congrats on winning the competition BTW.
