How can I convert .UNR files to files such as .3ds or .x?

looking at your other post, i imagine that you won't be able to, it'll be EA's own format, for their own engine. you'd have to look at the file in notepad (if you're lucky) or a hex editor (if you're not) work out the structure of the file, and then make a converter yourself.

anyway, i somehow doubt that you have permission from the copyright holder

a hex editor allows you to view the file in hexadecimal, because most formats are not text based so when you open them in notepad you get loads of odd symbols instead of the correct value

I might be able to get one to load into DB. There is a 3ds to unr conversion program out there somewhere.

I haven't reviewed the whole format yet, but if the Unr format holds texture filenames as well, that might cause a small issue. 3DS only supports 8.3 style filenames I believe.
