Hows it going everyone. I love BSP style maps with the neat lighting, but has anyone here every played Tribes or Soldier of Fortune 2 or Battle Field 1942? In these games you have the ability to load multiple BSPs on a terrain! Sofar, DBP only has the ability to load one BSP, but I've just completed a beta model of my WWE world editor. It works similarly to World Craft and other BSP editors, but is more simplified and will come with a module for DBP! Moreover, after porting it, I can then re-edit the code to make it compatable with Classic DB. Anyone interested to try it out? I don't have it on my site yet, but I probably will soon, so respond if you want to test it!

PS - the editor was NOT written in DBP. It was made in Visual Basic. So don't think that that's what a DB program looks like if you are new to DB

alrighty! BIG NOTE: Currently you will not be able to import into DBP and the texturing doesn't work. If you like it a lot and want to build levels with it before it is finished, I probably will not be changing the file types

I'll have a link in a sec....

Got it uploaded! check it out at www.geocities.com/wendigosoft/Files
Please don't laugh at my download page. I'm going to be making a real one soon, I just haven't had time to. I also stress that WWE is still a BETA 1.0.

If you are having problems with the installation program, I have manual installation directions inside the EULA.txt

Hope it works out and hope you guys enjoy!

ACK! I just remembered! The demo level called 'default' that comes with it will not load properly! I made a few changes to the file structure just before I uploaded it! I'll try and patch it fast!

wendigo:
the 'default' worked here (you must of patched it quick)
how do you create the actual BSP file (export, save as or what?

cant wait to see when you can ADD textures to that list!

otherwise to me this looks VERY promising! !

Currently, everything planned is in my head and not shown (except for things that I am going to implement soon). I would like to add BSP support if I can, but the primary purpose of the program is to be able to create buildings and other interior structures without being limited in how it loads or how many you can load. Much work is going to be done !

PS - I'm going to through another update on VERY soon. I noteced a few billion errors in it and sent even the BETA slightly prematurely. The installation program has been modified too! I'll through the installation program up if you guys want, same site. Right now it is really limmited too, but that might all have changed by the time i through it up there.

I will really strive to add BSP support, and it will be freeware! Right now anything you make will only be able to be distributed as freeware. That may change I hope, I need to look into legalities in the U.S.

Due to personal things tying up my life right now, WWE (which I will probably rename) is going to be slowly developed throughout October and probably beyond.

Good news and bad news: Good news - next BETA is coming out by the end of this month. It will have new features including texturing, a new GUI that is much easier and object oriented, special effects, and a 3D PREVIEWER ala DBP.

The bad - older file types (the last beta) will be incompatable. sorry guys!
