Hello,

I'm interested in getting the SDK, but I don't have a compatible compiler at the moment.

I've been looking at the various VC++ 2003 net packages available, and I can seeing how the standard version is very slow compared to the professional version.

Is that true, or is it just fanboi chatter?

It doesn't have the same number of complier optimisations, and so your final compiled code might not run as quickly as under pro. I doubt the difference would be drastic though...

Whilst the standard one will be slower, I doubt you'll actually notice much difference.
