Ok I understand the basics of how to make say...A wood texture but say you have a bottle and you need it to have a wrap around it at some point How do you texture something that needs to wrap is there a way to "Priview" what the texture will look like on your model becuase my models need to have more then one solid pattern to them. I am very new to texturing I would appreciate some help.

all objects have faces, even round ones...they are made up of either triangles or squares and you have to map each face on to the 2d texture...its called UV mapping

im confused by what you just said how do I texture a model that i have with different textures on it not all a solid pattern
