I have only 512 Megabytes of Ram if i boughttwo sticks of 1 Gb each how well would FPSC run because it runs pretty slow now.
(yes i know the recommended is 1G of RAM)

would everything run faster and smoother? rendering, test playing, loading... ect

I can smell the sweet and bitter end,no longer taste buds mend, one way track no way out, kick and scream try to shout
never helps, makes it worse, its always me with the curse

Not enough!! I'm on a nVIDIA G-force FX 5500, and I've got a backup ATI Radion 9200. I'm upgrading to a 9600XT 256 verson.

And for ram i've got 512 meggies.

I don't think it will make that much difference. If you had 256 or 128MB then yes, the improvement would be significant.

Your graphics card is usually the most important factor as far as performance is concerned, but processor & memory speed are important as well.

Edit: If your card is a GeForce 5500, it should run well anyway.

Yea, I know. But nothing else will. Battlefield 2 don't agree to well with either of them.

I'm using a GeForce FX5200 128mb DDR, Battlefield: Vietnam, and Solder: Marine Corps play beuatifuly, I can run them at medium to high settings, as long as I make sure all my background oeprations are either ended or not using to much memory. Large FPSC levels sometime lag quite a bit, but the small simples on I build testing various functions display beautifully.

soo bascially going from 512meg of ram to 2.5Gig of ram wont make much of a difference in the speed of fpsmaker?? but atleast wont it allow everything else to run faster or more programs at once??

the annoying thing is that i see 1 gig for 100$ but for my computer you have to install it in pairs so i would have to buy 2 for 200$ total. but 512meg goes for 70-80$. So if i bought the two 512's id be spending almost as much money as i would on the two sticks of 1 gig for half the ram. would anyone know where i can find cheap memory.

I have GeForce FX 5500 as well whats the next best graphics card. and how much money would it be and how much better would my system perform in games and FPSC

my motherboard speed i believe can run up to 4gigabytes of RAM (is that what you refer to as processor?)

you dont have to install ram in pairs...ya your computer has 2 slots, and if its newer, only one of those slots is being used...so you just buy another ram card and install it in the other slot....but make sure you get a card with the same speeed as your original one...(like 3200 or something)

if your planning on upgrading ram i would recommend 2gigs stick thus improving preformance wayyyyyyy better... make sure your mb can have 2gig stick. its not that expensive either. i would also recomend a new graphics card. thats probably the reason why the game is slow and laggy but dont go out and buy no 512 dollar gc lol.

nj studios coming soon
