Okay, so I want to upgrade my graphics card, cause the one I'm using now is'nt good enough for all my needs.

I'm currently using a ATI Radeon 9200 128MB 4X/8X. I want to upgrade to something a little more powerful. I was thinking of an eVGA 7500 or something like that, when I noticed that I didn't have a hi enough power suply. Okay, easy. Just buy a new one. But, do I have PCI Express slots? How can I figure that out?

Unless you've got a very new computer, the chances of having PCI-E slots is pretty low. Therefore, you need an AGP card - ATI's X700 are pretty cheap.

unless you have found some weird way to hammer a agp card into a pci slot, you have agp, hence the 4x-8x, that doesn`t apply to pci, so your current card slot has to be agp (you don`t get mobos with one of each), PCI express is a special dedicated graphics slot like an agp slot, don`t confuse it with a bog normal PCI slot, they have nothing in common but the first three letters.

Well, thanks for your responses. I'm just going to get either a Gforce 6600 or a Radeon 9600XT or a Radeon 9800XT.

Why not a 9800Pro? I mean you go from the 9600XT straight to the 9800XT. Anything wrong with the 9800Pro? Tis cheaper.

Cheers

Fair enough. Just not as good (quite a bit less good) as the 9800Pro is all. And you were considering the 9800XT.

Cheers
