When I try to rotate an object sloooowly, it works perfectly, but when I rotate it faster, the program hangs completely. WHY?

I fixed it. BTW, the SCREEN FPS() command seems to return a very odd result. I get around 900 FPS when it's clearly lagging.

the human eye can see no faster then about 60FPS if the program is run faster you may get a odd thing happing on screen.

try ues SYNC RATE 60 to cap the FPS to 60 then it may work.

Well, actually the sync rate command doesn't seem to work either. Even if I set SYNC RATE to 30, the framerate still goes up to between 600-900 FPS.

there is a bug in SCREEN FPS()

for each loop:

1st call returns true FPS
2nd call returns 2x true FPS
3rd call returns 3x true FPS

NOBODY has a forum name as stupid as Darth Shader. I do.

IIRC every time you use the Screen fps() function it returns a framerate based upon the last time it was called, so if you use it more than once strange things will happen.

By the way, you can see much faster than 60 fps, but unless you either meditate alot of in one of those life or death adinaline boosts, you're not gonna notice the difference between 60 and 70 pfs.

They eye can see no more than 24 "frames per second". When you see lag in a game even though the framerate is well over 24, it is because it isn't constant.

Hope they fix the screen fps() bug, as I rely on it pretty heavy. Maybe I'll just make my own fps()-command...

If problems occur when you use it more than once per loop, then instead of:

do
text 1,1,str$(screen fps())
text 1,21,str$(screen fps())
text 1,41,str$(screen fps())
sync
loop

use this:

do
a$=str$(screen fps())
text 1,1,a$
text 1,21,a$
text 1,41,a$
sync
loop
