Im not sure but in the FPSC manual, it says you can program save games and load games. Is it really save/load games or is it just checkpoints?

I know Karate, Kung Fu, and 47 other dangerous words...

I believe that the references are to checkpoints.

I do not think you can script a load/save feature utilising any currently existing scripting commands or functions. I may be wrong.

Thre are a lot of post around lately about this subject and you may glean more from those.

If all goes well you may see the feature added Post V1

I don't think you can but it would be cool if you can though.

Agreed. By the way, someone like Richard Davey or somebody said something about a surprise in V1. I wonder what it is, or maybe we already know about it, but just don't realise it.

This question has been asked many times during the last week or two in various posts.

Best answer that can be given I believe is that TGC may consider adding some form of load facility post V1 if its possible.

I dont think the situation will be any clearer than that until V1 has been released and TGC have had time to access how the product then stands and what the priorities might be for adding further features.

I'm not sure if it's true, but didn't someone mentioned a savegame/loadgame command in the scripting system. They said that this will actually save a file, but then it may be referring to checkpoints, as mentioned. Also, I reckon if it was true, Lee, Rick or Rich would have mentioned it in the numorous posts about it.

ya, i mentioned that...in ea, i tried the script...but it didnt work...in V1...those commands are still there...so they must work...but like in my post above, i was trying to find some sort of script for the checkpoint marker to see if those were the commands it was using...ands by the way...in the manual...heres what it says:

NEWGAME=X trigger the running of a new game (typically from title page)
LOADGAME=X trigger the loading of a saved game
SAVEGAME=X trigger the saving of a current game

if that doesnt mean saving and loading games...i dont know what does

@BULLSHOCK 2, that seems to make sense, i hope in V1 they make that for you, just incase your idea doesn't work in V1.

You should not take the manual literally I would suggest...........

Some things are in place - possibly because they are there so that FPSC can accommodate stuff - down the road and have not yet been implimented by default for one reason or another (misleading perhaps)

Save - Load - have faith and faith will be rewarded I recon.

I agree on that. Hopefully, we can get a patch for Save/Load stuff, but until then, we must wait of V2 while playing with V1 alot.
