I just tried out the demo version of milkshape and wipped up 3 models! I can't wait to buy the full version. Tell me what you think.

(This is the first model, the next 2 posts are the others)

This is my very first model. It is a pistol.

I think you should ban yourself from the cube tool .

Really you can see that your progressing because each model is better than the last, but it's clear that you should practice more before trying a human model. Making a character mesh is damn difficult, and although box modelling characters is popular in Milkshape, it's not really the same thing - usually you'd take a single cube and cut and extrude into your character shape, nobody builds characters from boxes once they know the ins and outs of milkshape. Follow the tutorials for box modelling, you'll pick up a lot of tips for making all types of model.

Thanks for the tips! I'll try that out after I finish spongebob.

After spongebob I'll do the cut and extrude and try and make some hands for a FPS gun model. Maybe after I buy this and FPSC I can apply hands on to the guns that come with FPSC.

I tried anim8or, but I like this better. I could do animations in that though...

Good luck. Try and use background pictures as reference whenever possible, it makes a huge difference.

Yeh I agree With Soapyfish. I tried modeling a cartoon Rabbit. but it looked stupid. Then i put a picture of Bugs bunny in the background and it helped a lot..... True story.
