3 Dimensional Chat / Wings 3D Doesn't Support Textures or colors?

I exported A model of a house and converted it to X with the tool given with DBC, and only onw color is in there!

Yep. As far as I can tell, wings only supports basic colors, no image maps or anything fancy.

Explain to me why some people pay money for 3d software? Its not 3d till its been blended. wwww.blender3d.org

You need to also export a texture. Such as redering to texture.
if you want more details on rendering to a texture
goto (www.3dbuzz.com) and under the (unreal editor)
download (SM10_texture_workflow.avi) in issue 2

This shows you how to make a texture with photoshop and export the texture with 3d studio max into unreal editor but should work just as good with with any other program.

wings does support colors and textures. you just have to know how to use them. the built in uv mapper is quite nice and only requires a bit of getting used to. diffues colors however do not transfer well when converting to x format. dark basic can import .3ds files so why wouldnt you just leave it at that?

look on the wings forums for texturing tuts...
