Im using 3D Studio Max 7 and was wondering if there is a way to change the color of the object line in the wire frame view. I have background pics to work with but they are white and I cant see what I am doing very well if they are both white. It would save alot of time then editing the pictures itself.

the scale of the image is dependant on how you zoom each viewport so before you add your images make sure youve made them all zoom to the same ammount.

I recommend not to use the set background image because it's very hard to manipulate it... (I'm having nightmares with that feature) I suggest creating a textured plain with 50% opacity as your basis and place it in front of the model, not at the back... (because the model will block the basis) At least it's easier to control these plains...

All projects have been cancelled due to some important matters (darn it!) but "The mask of Zorah" is still continued...

the best way to use ref material is to have either a box, or planes and then use the fit to bitmap command in the UVMapper. then texture it (making sure you have view in viewport turned on of course.

as for the wireframe... that's controlled by the object colour, whihc you can pick from the right hand side, next to where it has the objetc name. usually at the top.

I don't have a sig, live with it.

press m for the materiels editor, once youve assined the texture to the object you must pess the checkered button to the right which is show in viewport else it will only display the objects diffuse/specular etc etc

There seems to be a problem with that Pandasoft .X exporter with Max 7, it has bug reports on their site saying there are problems with textures.
