I've not posted anything in ages, literally eons...

i also realised that i've given out quite a bit of harsh (but i think fair and reasonably constructive) crit, without actually demonstrating that i can model!

so, here's a WIP of a head i'm working on, for all the people who i pissed off to tear strips off!

it stands at 1204 polys (quite a few i guess) with a 2048^2 texture (don't worry, that's just the rez i'm working at, it'd be shrunk down for game use)

feedback welcome

I don't have a sig, live with it.

Looking good!
In my opinion the section of face below his nose looks too long. It looks like he has his jaw open but mouth closed if you get what I mean.

Also the wrinkle highlights around the bridge of the nose look good but out of place, I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because there's no change in geometry there or because there are no wrinkles anywhere else on the model as defined but imo they just don't look right.

I'd also look at the unwrapping/texturing around the eyebrows, from the picture the eyebrow's texture doesn't align with where the geometry inclines and so he looks a bit mean as his eyes look too squashed. This might be the look you're going for but it's just an observation. Other than that this is really great work!!!!

:S there's a whole raft of problems with the model (i've put it on a few forums asking for advice) so i'm starting again. this one was already version 2, so maybe it'll be 3rd time lucky!
