Yeah, can you?

Because I might start off with a little project before I work on 'Heresy'...

You can make it with buildings around, you can make it with hills only if you import and script the hills and stuff.

You can make outside segments and make it appear outside, but it won't truly be outside.

Evil Inside,

Q "Can you make outdoor scenes".

A "Of course you can"

You can make an outdoor level, limited only by the FPSC world size. You can include in that outdoor level anything you wish that you would normally expect to see in any game - that FPSC supports.

The only real restriction is how well your fps will stand up during gameplay so you may find you may have to design your level to the engines capability and moderate any design on paper to best advantage and keep gameplay speeds acceptable.

By the way - With the inclusion of Physics Terrain was fully workable and walkable in an eary BETA version of V1 - I have not tried it RC3 (nearest to V1) but have no reason to suspect that it wont be fully effective in V1.

You import terrain like every other entity.
You just need the x. file of the terrain and a fpe file.
Open a existing fpe like the one for the scifi generator and change the name for the x. file and the texture and save it as a new fpe...thats all, it's realy easy.

I have forgotten what it looked like The video was very basic - just a quick test to see if it would work - you can see that the player can walk up quite steep inclines so we really need better control over the player (and perhaps enemies) so we can make adjustments to his Physics capability. e.g. Jump over high walls or not as we see fit.
