@Chimera: Put then it'll exceed their bandwith, and only 250 people will be able to get it anyway before their server crashes

Why do today what you could have someone else do?

I planned to pre-order FPS Creator this week.

Because of I'm ordering from abroad (Hungary) i can't send exactly $56.68 only a round number $57.00 (Because of the money-changing from HUF to dollars) It is a problem or not?

And If I pre-order this week, can I get a download link to FPS Creator, or I only get the boxed version?

If you are not an EA user, you recibe a download link in 22 september, and in the same day, the boxed version are send to you. You can download and not need to wait to the boxed version, that probably come some days later, because need to travel around the real world.

Support Update

Just to let everyone know - we are now bang up-to-date with ALL support enquiries. If you have just posted a question to the forum and not received an answer, you'll not get one - it needs to go in via the proper channels (see the little "Customer Support" link under the Post Message button!). Equally if you just email us randomly hoping we'll deal with it, you face delaying your request significantly. If it doesn't go via the support system, it doesn't get priority - sorry.

All set for the 8th, so far...

So far so good though, we've received a massive amount of pre-orders as you might imagine, but nothing we can't handle. Tests of the download version have concluded all is well. So other than some final checks to perform tue/wed we're good to go on the 8th. Be advised that at this moment in time we're 99% certain you'll need to FTP the file down. We will not be supplying a download manager this time around. So if you've not got any FTP software installed, or never used any before, now would be a great time to do so. Perhaps some people here can post suggestions on the best free FTP clients to use?

New Trial Version

A new trial version has been finished and uploaded to CNET, once available we'll open it up for you all. This should hopefully be tomorrow, but that's down to them.

The V1 Manual

Oh and no, we will not upload the V1 manual, we've too much else to be doing right now. The V1 manual is in the trial version if you're absolutely desperate to see it in advance of the 8th.

Can I still buy the EA version?

In a word - no! Those who did buy EA, nice one We hope you feel suitably rewarded for having done so.

Cheers,

Rich

The Demo will be to all, EA and non EA users. Remember that is a trial, you can only use 30 days. Probably the demo will be avaible to the publick today.

I hope that the server dont crash by a massive demo download.

The demo will be served from CNets file servers, so I don't care how many people download it

If you don't have FTP software, I would recommend ACEFTP Free. It is quite literally Drag n Drop, and you can configure it with the minimum of settings (address, username, password).

Hi,

I just downloaded my copy.. and i want to say how brilliant i have found this product.

I was curious of the EA version and bought it, but on a whole wasnt that impressed with a lot of its features, especially the A.I. and general camera movment.

On the V1 version, evertyhing has been sorted and it now feels to me like a proper game engine. The moement is nice, jumping nice - and i cannot wait to get a project under foot.

Cheers

Steve

Hi!

I orderes FPS Creator by bank transfer, and after I got the fax from my bank , that the transfer is completed I sent my personal data (name, address, e-mail addres) to the e-mail address as it was asked on the order page.

But I did't get any reply. I thought I will get an e-mail like 'Thanks for Your order, we will send You a download link to FPS Creator V1 on Sept. 22, and we will also post the boxed version for you too.'

Or something like this..

But I did't get any reply.

I did something wrong, or it is a normal process, and everything is OK?

Please Help!!

Captain Kirk - it depends when you did it! Remember we don't work weekends, so if the email arrived late Friday you won't get a reply until Monday, but yes you will get one.
