i always start summat and never get it finnished. usually coz i end up forgetting about it. anyway for the last 2 days i've been working on this dude.

my pencil drawing skills far outway my modeling skills but i've amazed myself this time. my 1st attempt at something organic was a dragon (looked ok but lost the model), then i did a second one which some of u might know about (another dragon).

well now the brief is over heres the render i got so far.

oh and just before any1 likes to point out the obvious - and i know u all like doing it - i am aware he has no feet!! at least not yet.

oh and here is a list of things i know need fixing:

1. needs feet
2. arms and legs need a little extra detail
3. hands need sorting out
4. hips could do with a tweek aswell

anything u think could be sorted out just say. but i'll attempt it if its gonna make a major difference. not going for the "shine" just yet

Ok. The top chest mucles are way too big. I think he needs a neck, the shoulder pads seem too long, and there is something strange with his lower abs. They look sorta square. Nice for a first try tho, keep it up

Explain to me why some people pay money for 3d software? Its not 3d till its been blended. wwww.blender3d.org

i'm actually working off from a drawing i did when i was at high school.

i noticed that his chest was a little bit on the big side and i can easily fix that. a bit of tinkering and i should sort out the little probs.

oh and who says i need a face eh?? not seen anything written down to say that all organics need a face

i'll play around with it a little and see what i can do. should have some feet added if i get that far.

well at least its nothing i can't fix

see what the week brings

sorry about no posting yesterday. couldn't get on the forum for some funny reason. anyway heres the update.

1. i've added feet.
2. sorted out the hands.
3. narrowed the chest a little.
4. worked on the arms a little bit.
5. propotioned out the legs (still not sure if they look ok. could be the perspective)
6. altered the hips to go with the body.
7. adjusted the head size and it does now have a neck in there somewhere.

i'm not gonna adjust the chest any more coz he's ment to have some sort of body armour on him.

well heres the pic.
enjoy and please tell me what ya think.

not bad for a first attempt.... a bit blocky in upper body but that could be what your trying to accomplish with the armor...

keep it up...this site can always use modelers who build something other than guns...sigh...
