OKie so a while back i ordered a book online called "Focus on 2d in direct 3d" right? okie so....i get this book it has a cd and everything but liek the sample games and all are 3d...it has more 3d stuff on the cd then it does anything else big friggin help and no 2d stuff on the cd except source code lol.

Isnt that gay?

Nothing but its sopsot to be a book written to help people with 2d game programming. But it explained nothing really =\ nothing useful eaither im just glad it was only liek 10$ lol.

i should but since it had a whole chapter (or 5) on 2d then i guess i can't =(

But never the less it was of no real use since it like showed you how to do matrixes and particles stuff of no use to me.

did you wanna learn 2D theory? like tilesets and stuff or the mechanics of rendering 2d in directX

Well i want to learn shooting in 2d games stats trade systems (supply and demand based) ect. But that was the only book i could find that even remotly has 2d in the name so i thought i'd give it a shot....i got it off the net at barnesandnoble.com

The only reason im not going for online tutorials is because i seem to like to read outta books more then outta online tutorials.
