I am thinking of buying a 3D level Editor so I can make my own levels. I was thinking of getting GeoScape but I was wondering what it is like and what people think of it. Also if there are any other good level editors out there that are good, i dont mind spending a bit of money.

Thanks

I think there is a tutorial of how how to make a level out of a text file in the tutorials section of the developers network.

Anyway, I've checked out the web page of the 3d World Studio early adopter release and it's looking very good!

System: AMD Athlon XP 2200+, nForce 2 ultra 400, 256 MB PC-2700 RAM, 40 GB 7200 Hard Drive, Geforce FX 5200 128 MB (64-bit), 56K modem

Seeings as DBP uses DirectX, .x format is naturally better to use with DBP as it always has been....

@Rpgamer: Wasnt it you who started the sticky teling ppl to stop asking about modelers......

Just search thru some of the stickies on here man, i think there is one listing a ton of resources, including modelers. Or just search the forum for home-made modelers.

So if i made a level and exported it as a .X and a .3ds, the .X would be better then the .3ds?

My experince with DarkBASIC and 3D models is, that .3DS-models are smaller in file size, but they seem to load slower. .X-models are of a little larger filesize, but they load with the speed of light. I prefer .X.
