how do you create an autorun, so you autorun the game on putting cd into drive?

Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor w/ HT Technology 3.4GHz 800MHz FSB w/ 512KB Cache, 1GB DDR PC-2700 at 333MHz - 1x1024 SO-DIMM, ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON™ 9700 128MB DDR, 80GB Hard Drive

Create an *.ini file and put it on the cd and call it autorun.ini put this in the file:

[autorun]
open = mygame.exe
(icon = myicon.ico) this one is optional.

Your welcome!

[autorun]
run="game.exe"

as autorun.inf

Here's a little autorun program I whipped up in C++. It's easy enough to make your own but I thought I would post it anyway.

It'll probably run slower from the CD. Your best bet is to use either Visual Studio .NET to make an installer or download one of the free ones so that users can install the game from their CD onto their hard drive.

I've seen a couple of them mentioned in another thread on here somewhere and they're free but have a splash screen of some sort.

Visual Studio would be your best bet as you can add your own splash screen to it as far as I remember, it'll look more professional.

OMG!!! the guy just wants to run the game... Thank you origin, thank you merranvo.

@show off's: find another thread, you would need the autorun.ini (yeah that is corrected, mabey it is open... i thought it was run...). and that is all
