We are doing a game for our degree course and have been thrown in at the deep end having never used DB or 3dsm before.
Having managed to construct a 3d model in a *.3ds format we want to put it into db. how do you use the converter to make it a *.x format?!?

much appreciated if you could help us out

Just stick the .3ds model in the same folder as the DB converter + run the proggy and it will convert any .3ds model in that folder.

Oh, and you don't need it to be a .X model for DBC to use it... you can load .3ds straight into DB.

Which Uni is it?

And don't worry about converting the file, just use "load object "blah.3ds" in your code instead.

Cheers,

Rich
